The all-glass Skywall windows with fascinating dimensions and slimmer than ever before

Czech window manufacturer JANOŠÍK is pushing the possibilities of the Skywall window collection and introducing the Skywall Sparrow version, which breaks the limits of previous dimensions and is more delicate than ever before. The fusion of the house with the surrounding nature has begun on a new scale.
Full-glass design thanks to the extended glass.

The unique Skywall window collection for Czech manufacturer JANOŠÍK was designed by architect Zdeněk Fránek. It utilizes the combination of the best properties of wood and glass in a completely new dimension. Natural wood ensures a pleasant feeling in the interior, while the extended glass protects the wooden frames from weather influences, making the window maintenance-free. The extended glass is ceramic printed (enamelled).
Full-glass windows Skywall have been part of dozens of houses and villas across the Czech Republic since their introduction in 2014. All fixed windows are designed frameless, while sliding and opening windows are covered with ceramic-printed glass, making them appear as uniform glass surfaces. The minimalist design is particularly pronounced on long strip windows, which transform into long bands of glass.

"Good design in windows is not seen; you don't perceive the window in the context of the house; it at best merges with the house and allows the views beyond and the environment in front of it to stand out." says Jakub Janošík, who oversees the development of new products. "This is also the core idea for the new Skywall Sparrow. The delicate frames blend in more; their clean design is minimal, and the large-format surfaces are undisturbed."
