ROCKWOOL, a.s.

One of the most energy-intensive sectors of the economy is industry. During the 25th Gastech exhibition and conference, which will take place from March 21 to 24, 2011 in Amsterdam, Rockwool Technical Insulation will present how to effectively reduce energy consumption in this area while also limiting CO2 emissions.

Energy consumption in industrial enterprises can be effectively reduced by the use of efficient thermal insulation. The result is two benefits. First, thermal insulation allows for a reduction in harmful CO2 emissions into the atmosphere, which, given the emissions trading system issued by the European Union, leads to a reduction in the company's costs. The second benefit is evident when considering the fact that suitable insulation of technical equipment is essential for ensuring proper production process yields, as it allows for the maintenance of pipeline and tank temperatures within precisely defined limits.

“Owners, designers, and operators of large industrial enterprises are already facing the challenge of minimizing energy consumption to ensure long-term operational stability. This is associated with redesigning pipelines, cables, boilers, and high-temperature technological equipment for future technologies with low energy consumption and low emissions. A balanced design and application of effective insulation is essential. This way, industrial enterprises will not waste energy and money, and in fact, they will start saving and reducing the negative impact of their activities on the environment.”
– says Frank Jacobs, CEO of Rockwool Technical Insulation.

Rockwool Technical Insulation is a leading supplier of quality stone wool insulation solutions and securing technical installations in both industrial and marine processes. The key benefits that effective insulation provides in the industry will be presented by the company during the Gastech exhibition in Amsterdam (booth no. A 032).

Additionally, company representatives will conduct two presentations as part of the accompanying conference “Center of Technical Excellence”:
  • “Effective insulation reducing energy consumption and operational costs”, March 21, 2011 – Hall A from 11:00 – 11:30,
  • “Efficient insulation reducing energy consumption costs and CO2 emissions”, March 23, 2011 – Hall B from 14:30 – 15:00.
