Acoustic, fire-resistant, or security doors do not have to attract attention with massive frames and decorative reliefs. They can be almost invisible to the eye, blend with the wall, or, conversely, contrast with their surroundings and become a dominant element of the interior. Premium door systems from Dorsis meet the most demanding technical requirements while maintaining the elegance of minimalism and the straightforwardness and purity of modern design.

The installation of concealed frames allows only the important part – the door leaf – to be visible. Other elements such as frames or hinges remain hidden and do not disturb the uniform line of the wall and doors. The door space thus supports the overall character of the interior, whether it’s an apartment, house, office, or a public building.

Dorsis Fortius 52 adapts to any interior. Passage height up to 3,500 mm allows doors to be installed all the way to the ceiling.

"The uniqueness of the Dorsis door and concealed frame concept is its variability," says Jan Krejčí, managing director of Dorsis. "In collaboration with architects and builders, we always propose optimal solutions from the perspective of construction, execution, and added technical elements, but we also address the surface of the door leaf itself to achieve true harmony throughout the interior."

The ability to choose the ideal surface for the door leaf is essential for most customers. Doors can be fitted with natural veneer, chosen from an almost endless RAL and NCS color sample, or decorated with a finish that matches the surrounding walls. A door leaf with cladding is becoming increasingly popular – this allows the doors to seamlessly blend with the wall and thus support the overall harmony of the interior.

There are nearly endless options for surface finishes available. From natural veneers to spray finishes or paint to concrete plaster or cladding.

What is the added value of Dorsis door systems?

What to do if we want to install concealed frames even where the doors serve an additional function – preventing noise from passing through from other rooms, ensuring security at the entrance, or even preventing the possible spread of fire.

"Design harmony would not be perfect if it weren't possible to install concealed frames completely throughout the interior. That’s why we have expanded our concept of Fortius 52 to include variants with unique added values,” adds Jan Krejčí. "Dorsis doors will not only suit your taste, but will also protect you from noise, fire, or unwanted guests."

Thanks to the standard thickness of 52 mm, the internal structure can be changed to achieve acoustic attenuation of up to 37 dB.

The Silent Beauty of Fortius Acoustic Doors

Sound insulation is appreciated not only by homeowners for separating the quiet zone from everyday spaces, but also by commercial investors for soundproofing selected offices or meeting rooms. Acoustic attenuation of Rw 27 to 37 dB is achieved through the use of an automatic threshold strip and modifications to the internal structure. Behind closed Fortius Acoustic doors, you won’t hear the dishwasher or a loud colleague.

Acoustic doors can be designed to a height of 3500 mm, meaning they can reach the ceiling of most interiors. The thickness of 52 mm in combination with a robust construction offers the option of premium accessories – e.g., concealed self-closing devices, door stops, and electric opening.

With a height of up to 2600 mm and a width of up to 1050 mm, the Fortius EI30 ranks as a premium option in the fire door segment.

Standards met by FORTIUS EI 30

Fire doors FORTIUS EI 30 with resistance EI/EW 30 DP3-C are certified for the Czech Republic and Slovakia with a fire resistance of 30 minutes. They can be equipped with card locks for hotels and administrative buildings, and in versions with a panic lock can be utilized according to the requirements of standard EN 179.

With a height of up to 2600 mm (in limited cases up to 2900 mm) and a width of up to 1050 mm, they are considered premium in the fire door segment. The concealed frame is anchored using turbo screws through a metal bracket secured to the frame of the door frame, and the gap around the frame is sealed with PUR foam of the appropriate resistance (standard, fire-resistant).

Safety doors Fortius Safety RC2 allow for the elegance of concealed frames already at the entrance to the apartment.

You can rely on Fortius Safety RC2 doors

Fortius Safety RC2 security doors protect your privacy with a 6-point locking system. Additionally, on the hinge side of the frame, securing pins against door removal are installed, fitting into the frame's counter-plate.

The Fortius Safety RC2 system is also available in a variant with sound insulation up to Rw 33 dB and fire resistance EI/EW 30 DP3; with a passage height of up to 2600 mm. Peepholes or kick plates can be mounted on the doors.

A common feature of all types of doors with concealed frames is not only the option to choose from a wide range of surfaces but also the ability to open the leaf either inwards or outwards from the protected space. They can be installed in walls or drywall partitions and can thus become a design complement to any interior. The aesthetics of living spaces are not influenced by individual elements alone, but rather the overall harmony among them.
