Collection 40 focuses on a minimalist modern style, including doors with a smooth finish without fittings or embellishments, representing a new concept of doors that are not only functional but also aesthetically beautiful.

What makes Collection 40 the favorite among users?

Collection 40 is a special and unique series of concealed frames that offer several advantages:

Aesthetics: Collection 40 offers modern design solutions that fit well into specific interiors. The choice of materials, colors, and door decors can be customized to personal preferences and the style of the room.

Uniqueness: Collection 40 is one of a kind not only in our country but also globally.

Easy maintenance: They require no complicated maintenance. Just regularly wipe them with a damp cloth and clean the metal parts.

Functionality: Besides great design, the doors in Collection 40 are also perfectly functional and very resistant to wear. The doors are equipped with quality hinges and locks that ensure safety and ease of operation.

A choice of different surfaces, materials, and colors

The choice of materials for door leaves is also very diverse. Customers can choose doors for concealed frames with a lacquered finish, glass-aluminum doors, doors veneered with oak, or doors for subsequent finishing.

The angled frame is made of treated aluminum. It is protected by anodization, an electrochemical process typically used on aluminum that modifies its surface, prevents metal wear, and provides greater resistance to weather influences, stains, and scratches. Profiles in Collection 40 are available in 3 bronze stylish finishes and in a surface-treated version, ready to be painted in any color.

One of the great advantages of Collection 40 is also the option to customize the doors to individual customer requirements. BATTENTE offers the possibility of manufacturing custom doors, meaning the customer can choose the size, shape, material, and color of the doors according to their needs and vision.

What makes Collection 40 different?

On one side, there is the concealed frame sloping at an angle of 40°, and on the other side are the doors recessed into the wall. The secret lies within the frame. Previously invisible and purely structural, the frame becomes aesthetic and design-oriented, giving the doors a distinct presence and unique strength. When the doors from Collection 40 emerge from the wall, they create a tight connection between two spaces. A new detail that allows the doors to be seen from a new perspective creates the impression that they are within a painting. Collection 40, which is described in more detail on the Battente website, is an absolute novelty on the market, a brainchild of two designers.

Why hide beauty inspired by ancient buildings?

The idea was born in the minds of Italian designers Francesca Valentini and Lorenzo Ponzelli, who set out to transform a purely structural frame into a beautiful and design-oriented decorative element. They succeeded in creating an original frame with an unmistakable appearance that evokes a sense of depth.

Inspiration came from observation. In ancient buildings, especially from the Romanesque and Gothic periods, the wall at windows was sloped and expanded inward toward the room. The aim was to let as much light into the room as possible even from small openings. This concept is known in architecture as Expansion. This product retains classic features of internal doors that are visible to the human eye, which we have been accustomed to for decades. The result is a profound change that creates no irregularities and allows the doors to be present while looking slimmer.

Innovation in the field of concealed frames was previously only an effort to render the door frame invisible. This frame first becomes prominent, emerging from the wall and leaving a trace, becoming a discreet yet visible component. The frame is no longer just a technical and functional element, but represents an incredible final transformation in itself.

The two designers offered their idea to ECLISSE, a company that has focused on techniques and innovations since its inception. They found this large company appealing because it is very close to the dynamics of a small family business. The enthusiasm that was expressed from the first meetings with the De Faveri family and their team was the spark that helped bring this new project to life.

These two designers also designed the 40 + uno handle, inspired by Collection 40, which was produced by Mandelli1953. Each handle is made from a single solid brass ingot.

According to the inspiration from Collection 40, the handles are finished in six surface treatments (e.g., Champagne, Bronze, Tobacco…). The 40 + uno handles are available separately, with a WC lock or key.

Overall, it can be said that Collection 40, which you can learn more about on the Battente website, offers a beneficial and practical solution for anyone looking for timeless and design doors and systems for their interior. You can then explore Collection 40 in their showroom in Prague 4.
