Dobšice - Workers today morning demolished an illegally built house in Dobšice near Znojmo, which at the beginning of March the owner was preventing from demolition by climbing onto the roof. Today, the server Novinky.cz reported on this. The building permit and the municipal zoning plan allowed the owner to build two cottages on the property, but instead, he built a villa.

According to Novinky, the dispute between the family and the authorities lasted for years. The owners claim that they forgot to submit a timely application for a retroactive building permit, and therefore they believe it was not an illegal construction but merely a construction contrary to the permit. The regional office in Brno, the district court in Znojmo, the regional court in Brno, and the Supreme Administrative Court confirmed that it is an illegal construction, according to the server.

The house was supposed to be demolished at the beginning of March, but at that time the owner climbed onto the roof and refused to come down for ten hours. Police negotiated with him, and he eventually left the roof. "If we manage to demolish the house within thirty days, the execution would fall. In that case, we would keep the land and save about three million. Because the execution would cost over six hundred thousand and over two million for the removal of the building by the executor. Hopefully, we can manage it," said the owner of the house over a month ago, according to Novinky.
