Modern and functional architecture with Schüco aluminum window and facade profiles
Every architectural project carries an interesting and often unparalleled challenge, often accompanied by uncontrollable specifics and limiting criteria. It then depends on the implementation team how they deal with the given assignment. A not entirely easy, but pleasant task awaited the creators of the school campus for more than 3,000 children of various ages and education levels. The construction of the European School II, located in the suburban part of Luxembourg (Mamer/Bartringen), was handled by architects Michel Petit from Luxembourg and Johannes Schilling from Germany. The project, with its light, fresh design, connects a vast complex of six buildings, creating cozy, safe, and fun spaces for education and leisure. This is supported by a concept based on maximizing the access of natural light throughout the building, which was achieved by utilizing large-format window and facade systems from the brand Schüco.
