Vinyl floors with acoustic benefit

Acoustic vinyl floors are a major trend today, and for good reason – the added value of an additional layer with acoustic advantages can be useful anywhere, in apartments, offices, and other spaces.

The manufacturers themselves are trying to respond to this trend and are adding new products to their classic product lines that already provide some additional acoustic benefits. For example, two new lines have been added to the popular Expona SimpLay vinyl floors: Expona SimpLay 19dB and Expona Click 19dB.

Expona SimpLay 19dB represents a new generation of classic loose-lay floors enhanced with a layer of 1 mm IXPE foam, which increases impact sound insulation by up to 19 dB. The installation height of the floor is 5 mm, and due to its high load-bearing classes, the floors can be installed in practically any space.

Acoustic floor Expona SimpLay 19dB:

• 12 wood and stone designs
• Contains an acoustic insulation IXPE foam layer that reduces impact noise by 19 dB.
• The wear layer is 0.55 mm, load classes 23, 33, and 42, suitable for residential, commercial, and industrial use.
• 5 mm installation height
• Consists of several layers that are thermally compressed into one unit, thus it's a heterogeneous floor covering.
• Suitable for installation with underfloor heating.
• PUR surface treatment ensures easy maintenance and cleaning.
• Does not contain phthalates or other health-hazardous substances and meets relevant European certifications.

The click vinyl floor Expona Click 19dB is also very popular, which has the same insulation capability (i.e., a noise reduction of 19 dB) but uses a patented click system that ensures quick and easy installation. Thanks to its water resistance, it is also suitable for damp areas, such as kitchens and bathrooms.

Acoustic floor Expona Click 19dB:

• Contains an acoustic insulation foam layer that reduces impact noise by 19 dB.
• The Expona Click 19dB floor is waterproof – it does not swell upon contact with water, making it suitable for installation in kitchens and bathrooms.
• Uses a patented 5G-i locking system – simple and quick installation, the floor is immediately walkable.
• This floor is perfect for renovating existing surfaces – thanks to the underlay board with the click system, it can be easily installed on tiles or other surfaces without needing to be removed first.
• No classic underlayment or vapor-permeable films are needed under this type of floor.
• The wear layer is 0.55 mm, load classes 23 and 34, suitable for residential and commercial use.
• 6.5 mm installation height
• Consists of several layers that are thermally compressed into one unit, thus it's a heterogeneous floor covering.
• 12 wood designs
• PUR surface treatment ensures easy maintenance and cleaning.
• Does not contain phthalates or other health hazard substances.
