Imagine just coming up to an office chair, sitting down, and realizing you're sitting correctly. No searching for levers under the seat and examining what they actually do. That’s the Wiesner-Hager motiv office chair. Just come – sit down – and start working.
During the development of the office chair motiv, Wiesner-Hager aimed to find a solution to an age-old problem: why do things have to be so complicated? How to make the seating system automatically adapt to the user's weight? While there are numerous ergonomic standards and requirements for seating, let's be honest – very few people really know how to sit correctly. The mantra today is: "nothing more complicated than simplicity."
The swivel chair motiv from Wiesner-Hager is an office chair with automatic weight recognition tailored to an ever-changing work environment. The spring of its mechanism, along with the backrest supports, forms something like a clamp that elegantly connects the seat with the backrest. The state-of-the-art Twist-Balance mechanical concept combines the advantages of standard synchronous mechanisms, but is not as resource-intensive thanks to intelligent components. The system automatically regulates the pressure in the backrest, providing an intuitive sitting experience without the need for fine adjustments with complex controls. The passive musculoskeletal system thus receives support, reducing pressure on the intervertebral discs, and the resulting dynamic sitting activates the cardiovascular system.
The office chair motiv responds to the demands of the modern working world: work tools must allow for immediate functionality, their operation must be easily understandable, and they must fit a variety of users. In the case of the office chair, this means the possibility of immediate seating without any complicated adjustments. Therefore, its creators were able to embed a bold slogan into the product: "Seating with a smile."
In its standard version, the chair motiv has a plastic swivel construction in black with dual wheels of 60 mm diameter with a hard leading edge. The frame of the backrest is made of black polyamide, and the control elements and armrests are also in the same color. The backrest can have either an upholstered or mesh surface, with the backrest back being black mesh in both cases. For an additional fee, a version with an adjustable lumbar support is available.
While the external outline of the mesh frame features a very dynamic design, the seat promises a high level of comfort both visually and tactilely. As the designer of the office chair motiv from Wiesner-Hager, Andreas Krob, states: "I wanted to create a feeling of pleasure when sitting on the chair. The feeling of comfort should be enhanced not only by generous upholstery but also by a pronounced horizontal radius."
