Hager Manufacturing – every switch is a masterpiece!

Unleash your imagination: what interesting materials and colors would you like to choose your switch from? Forget about plastic and common metal switches, white, black, and various shades of gray and silver. And forget about switches made of cheap plastics in crazy colors. Imagine a switch made of real concrete, anodized aluminum, black glossy chrome, or even denim or precious metals… Don't hesitate and express any wish. The Hager Manufaktura program will fulfill it for you.

The Hager Manufaktura production program focuses on addressing the individual requirements of designers and investors regarding the appearance and form of home switches. All production is custom-made, allowing for accommodating almost any customer request, whether it concerns unconventional materials, colors, or non-standard surface finishes of frames. Within the Hager Manufaktura program, it is possible to have switches made from almost anything: from acrylic in any color, from mirrored glass, copper, chrome, or even precious metals including 24-karat gold. Frames can be covered, for example, with Scottish tartan, leather, or denim, which is a common request for showrooms and sample sales for denim manufacturers. You can choose an extraordinary surface finish for the switches – for example, achieve a velvet matte look for plastic switches or emphasize the surface texture; you can have them painted any RAL color, achieve a patina appearance, or cover the switches with Swarovski crystals. The imagination knows no bounds. The only thing that matters are the preferences or taste of the designer and the customer.

But the options for client modifications of home switches don't end with material and color! A common request from customers is to print icons, pictograms, or short texts on switch frames, which, for example, facilitate guests' control of lights in hotel rooms. We don't have to go far for examples... just take a look in Karlín! A beautiful example of the practical use of the possibilities offered by the Hager Manufaktura program is, for example, the Prague pentahotel. Equipping a stylish hotel in one of the most stylish cities in Europe and combining the safety of hotel guests with comfort and design… this was the assignment for Hager. The interior of the pentahotel was equipped with retro rotary switches from the Serie 1930 in black. The hotel spaces are fitted with switches and sockets in black plastic, and in the rooms, you will find a hotel card reader or a multimedia box consisting of USB and HDMI sockets from the same series. The selected switches in the hotel rooms were marked with small pictograms at the investor's request, which facilitate guests' orientation when controlling the lighting.

“The switches for the pentahotel were custom-made due to the requirement to print pictograms on the frames,” explains Thomas Grund, the CEO of Hager in the Czech Republic. “This was a task perfectly suited for our Hager Manufaktura production program! In this way, we can accommodate almost any customer request, whether it concerns unconventional materials or non-standard surface finishes of frames. So printing white icons on black frames for the needs of the pentahotel was a minor task,” concludes Thomas Grund.
