Moravská Třebová - Moravská Třebová in the Svitavy region will begin the project of a creative center in the former Miltra dairy complex with a several-month delay. The construction company is expected to start demolishing the old buildings and constructing a new water reservoir by the end of summer. These works are estimated to cost around 60 million Czech crowns. Václav Dokoupil (KDU-ČSL), the deputy mayor, said this to ČTK. The city wants to gradually reconstruct the former production hall and boiler room. They will establish a community hall for 250 to 500 people, a cinema for 80 viewers, a community library, facilities for a museum depository, a bar, a café, and other spaces for social life.

"The work has been delayed. We were waiting for the completion of the preparation for the tender process, so it extended by a few months. But we will definitely meet the plan to start this year," said the deputy mayor. A family center could also be created, for example. The city has owned the abandoned site of the former Miltra dairy since 2020, having purchased it for 11 million crowns. The initial work precedes the construction of the creative center MIZA.

The construction company will be tasked with demolishing part of the old buildings, and a parking lot for 70 to 80 cars will be built in their place. The area will connect with the museum park. "We are selecting a construction company that is expected to start excavation in the initial phase by the end of summer. At the same time, the construction of a 40-meter chimney will begin, which will be a new landmark of the city and will serve as a water reservoir," said Dokoupil.
