<p>Prague will request further documents from the participants of the tender for the completion of Nová Palmovka.</p>

Prague – In accordance with the decision of the Antimonopoly Office (ÚOHS), which annulled the exclusion of the company Porr from the tender for the completion of the New Palmovka building for the European Union Agency for the Space Program (EUSPA), Prague will require additional documents from interested parties for the contract. This was stated by the mayor's assistant Petr Hlaváček (STAN) after today's meeting of the evaluation committee regarding the tender. After the ÚOHS decision, the companies Porr and Geosan Group are now competing for the contract again, but the committee has not yet decided on the winner. It will meet again on August 4.

The ÚOHS first decided to annul Porr's exclusion from the tender in June, and last week its chairman Petr Mlsna confirmed it. "We respect the decision of the chairman of the ÚOHS and proceed in accordance with his conclusions," Hlaváček said today.

The tender was announced by the city council in October 2023, and in April of the following year, the council selected Porr from three participants with a bid of 2.6 billion crowns. Subsequently, Geosan contested the decision and the city council complied. The council excluded Porr from the tender and selected Geosan as the winner with a price of 2.9 billion crowns. Due to the city's actions, Porr turned to the ÚOHS.

According to previous plans, EUSPA is supposed to move to the shell of the building, which was originally started by Prague 8 more than a decade ago, from its current inadequate premises in Holešovice. It was originally supposed to relocate this year, but the city has not yet initiated any work. It is therefore unclear whether the European organization will find space elsewhere.

Prague 8 began construction of the building in 2014, which was to house the town hall along with a shopping center. Work was interrupted a year later due to various disputes, and construction has been stalled since then. After lengthy negotiations, the city took over the building from Prague 8 in 2021, subsequently considering placing the emergency service headquarters in it. Ultimately, an agreement was reached with the state and EUSPA in 2023.
