Lanškroun - The investor will soon resume the construction of a multifunctional building in Lanškroun in the Orlickoústecko region, which was paused last year due to disagreements with the construction company. Work is expected to start as soon as possible, with the rough construction completed by the end of this year. Miroslav Horáček, managing director of the company Multifunctional House Pivovarské náměstí, told ČTK.
Horáček bought the unfinished building on the site of a former malt house at Pivovarské náměstí at the beginning of last year. The original investor constructed the ground floor, and since last year, the building has increased by one floor. However, the construction company that was building the house for Horáček did not meet deadlines, so he terminated the contract with them. "By this time, the apartments should have been built," said the entrepreneur.
The building will be completed by the Lanškroun company IPESIS. "It's an advantage that a local company will be building it; that is a guarantee for me, they will definitely make sure not to tarnish their reputation. I chose certainty so that it will be built properly," said Horáček. The new construction company faced criticism for not securing the site with a fence. "At the handover of the construction, it was necessary to resolve all formal and technical matters related to the change of contractor first. In a short interim period, it indeed happened that the construction was not sufficiently secured, which we regret," said the owner of the company IPESIS, Josef Dořák.
The building will contain 31 apartments, approximately half of which will be one-room, while the others will be two and three-room apartments. According to the entrepreneur, the apartments will be affordable. There will likely be a café or other services on the ground floor. "We will launch a website within two weeks that will feature a visualization," said Horáček.
In the second part, where the lager cellars were located, the entrepreneur plans to build a parking house where local residents could park, and there will also be apartments in the building. Architects are currently working on the design, added Horáček. "The lager cellars are still in the project phase, as the technical solution is challenging here, especially due to the slope into which they are embedded," added the spokesperson of the town hall, Petra Klementová.
The brewery at Pivovarské náměstí in Lanškroun operated since the early 18th century and ceased operations in 1999. A year later, the city bought it for 5.5 million crowns. Currently, a modern residential-commercial area with a square, park, and services stands there, partially replacing the original industrial site.
