Prague – The exhibition that showcased the work of architect Josef Pleskot was seen by 21,512 visitors at the Kampa Museum in Prague. According to the organizers, it is one of the most visited exhibitions in recent years dedicated to architecture. Its success was likely further boosted by the fact that the elected Czech president Petr Pavel began to express himself about Pleskot as a potential collaborator. This was stated by Jan Skřivánek, the chief curator of the Kampa Museum, to ČTK.

In the category of monographic architectural exhibitions, it is probably the most visited showcase. "Several factors came together happily – from a generous advertising campaign to the tremendous commitment of Josef Pleskot himself, who conducted many guided tours of the exhibition as well as individual buildings, to the statements of the elected president," said Skřivánek.

In the last five years, among the most visited architectural exhibitions were the showcases of Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, which attracted 16,000 visitors at the House of the Stone Bell with a daily attendance of 182 people, or the exhibition Habitat: Panel Housing Estates about Czech housing estates, which was seen by 22,000 people at the Museum of Applied Arts, with 132 visitors daily. Both exhibitions took place in 2018, just like the exhibition Paneland, organized by the Moravian Gallery, which welcomed 27,000 people and had a daily viewership of 310. The exhibition of Josef Pleskot titled Cities on Kampa was seen by 217 people daily.

Among the most successful architecture exhibitions in the country was the project Ten Centuries of Architecture, which was visited by 155,266 people at Prague Castle in 2001. The exhibition Josip Plečnik, Architecture for a New Democracy, was seen by 70,000 visitors in 1996.
