Artfully designed projects by Zaha Hadid have always resembled natural landscapes more than habitable buildings. In her structures, one can see a raging sea, snowy mountain peaks, or a deep valley of a meandering river. The current project by Zaha Hadid resembles slowly shifting sand dunes. The desert project will rise in Sharjah, which is the third largest emirate in the Persian Gulf. A 650 m² waste sorting center will be built here. However, it will not be about hiding a landfill under sand dunes, but will feature a visitor center with a gallery, an administrative department with offices, and a café for employees. Between the pair of main reinforced concrete "dunes," a smaller oasis will be created. Significant emphasis was also placed on the most efficient energy consumption during the design process, as the company's entire waste management is based on an environmentally friendly approach.
