100 years of architect education in Brno - invitation to the celebration
Dear colleagues,
I would like to invite you to the opening of the celebrations of "100 and 1 years of architect education in Brno". On 05.11.2019, it will be exactly 100 years since the establishment of the Department of Architecture at the Czech Technical University in Brno.
This significant day marks the first event of the curatorial program for students, educators, architects, and the general public, which will take place at the Faculty of Architecture VUT throughout the year.
You can look forward to lectures, workshops, conferences, theater, and entertainment in the faculty premises, installations in the school's courtyard, and events in other cultural institutions in the city until October 2020.
I look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, November 5, 2019, at the Faculty of Architecture VUT, Poříčí 5, Brno, on the occasion of this significant day for our faculty.

9.00 - Press conference, presentation of the annual course of celebrations
10.00 - Open studios, where you can look forward to a preview of studio teaching, a visit to the drawing room, and workshops of the school
14.00 - Ceremony of the academic community, history of FA VUT in a lecture and recognition of significant educators and student achievements
16.00 - Vernissage "Petr Brauner, work," with the participation of the author, FA VUT alumnus, and curators of MUO, at Gallery MINI
18.00 - Are we architects? Lecture by Bart Lootsma, Professor of Architecture Theory and Emeritus Dean of the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Innsbruck on how to educate architects
20.00 - Festive initiation of 101 years of architect education in Brno with a surprise
20.30 - Afterparty in the courtyard of the faculty and the student club Archa
