Červený Kostelec (Náchodsko) - Červený Kostelec has announced an architectural competition for the renovation of the space between the schools towards the theater. The city has managed to acquire all the land in this area into its ownership, and construction work could begin at the start of 2018, reported Tomáš Kábrt from the Červený Kostelec town hall to ČTK.

Contestants can submit their proposals until September 13. "The competition jury will subsequently select the proposals that will advance to the second phase of evaluation. In that phase, the contestants will further specify and finalize these proposals. The final decision on the top three places is expected to be made on October 12, 2016," said the competition secretary Michal Kudrnáč from the Development Center of Česká Skalice.

A contract for work on the preparation of documentation is expected to be concluded with the selected candidate by the end of this year. This documentation should be completed in 2017, when the city will seek to obtain a building permit. Discussions about renovations of the space between the schools, theater, and gymnasium in Červený Kostelec have been ongoing for several years. The town hall already purchased the building of what was then Sazka in this area in 2010, which was later demolished.
