Chrudim - The leadership of Chrudim wants to have a new regulatory plan for the urban heritage zone prepared. The current one is already outdated, having been created more than ten years ago, said Mayor Petr Řezníček (SNK ED) to reporters today. The new document will provide some property owners with more relaxed conditions and restrictions for construction work. "Over time, the shortcomings of the regulatory plan became evident. Areas of the city that do not belong to the historical core were included in the urban heritage zone," Řezníček stated. For example, the area around the Bohemia Hotel and Masaryk Square should be removed from the new document. Restrictions will also no longer apply around St. Catherine's Church, where there is already mostly new development. The regulatory plan affects new construction as well as modifications to existing buildings in the zone. It specifies, for example, the appearance of extensions, additions, maintenance work on facades, roofs, display windows, entrances, or color schemes. The adoption of the regulatory plan for the urban heritage zone still requires approval from the city council. For this year, there is 200,000 crowns allocated in the budget for it, with the total cost estimated at 1.2 million crowns.
