Open House for those interested in studying at the Faculty of Architecture, CTU
The Faculty of Architecture of CTU in Prague invites you to the Open House Day, which will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2015, from 10 AM to 3 PM at the New Building of CTU, Thákurova 9, Prague 6 - Dejvice. For those interested in studying, we have prepared information about study fields (Architecture and Urbanism, Industrial Design, and newly also Landscape Architecture), admission procedures, meetings with teachers and students, workshops, and artistic works.
The accompanying program of the Open House Day at FA CTU will present the nominated and awarded works of the Lead Dusán 2015, a cult competition of the Association of Architecture Students for the best student projects and studios. In the faculty courtyard, visitors will be able to try wooden stairs designed and built by FA CTU students as part of the SCHODY workshop. The exhibition Overcoming Barriers 2015 will introduce the principles of barrier-free design, and on the obstacle course, it will be possible to test movement in a wheelchair or walking with a white cane.

Tour of studios, workshops, lecture halls, and technical facilities.
11:30 – 12:30 – Let's Meet at FA!
Who is an architect and designer? Through a short excursion into the life of students, they will answer all your questions about FA CTU. Lecture in the Kotěra Hall.
13:00 - 15:00 – Information about Studies
Information about the admission process and studies in the study programs of Architecture and Urbanism, Landscape Architecture, and Design will be provided by staff from the FA CTU study department.
12:00 - 15:00 – Meeting with Teachers and Students of FA
Information stands for profile subjects of individual study fields, interactive program, urban planning workshop.
13:30 – 15:00 – Art Workshop
Anyone can come to test their drawing skills and see how they would perform in talent exams. Paper and drawing supplies will be available.
13:00 – 15:00 – Modeling Workshop
Presentation of the study program Design and Modeling as in talent exams. Clay and an experienced artist on site.
14:00 – 15:00 – Excursion to Studios
How does studio teaching proceed? Who and how teaches at FA? Visit selected studios.
