Prague - The Prague Public Transit Company is negotiating the sale of vestibules at the Českomoravská, Vysočanská, and Kačerov metro stations. Companies Crescon and Asset bloom are interested in them. Aside from the area around the Florenc metro station, which the capital is considering selling, other stations could also get a new face. According to its spokesperson Ilona Vysoudilová, the company has signed a memorandum with interested parties, and a purchase agreement could subsequently be concluded. The price for which the company could sell the vestibules is, according to Vysoudilová, still unknown. The intention to sell the three metro vestibules was approved by the board of the Prague Public Transit Company (DPP) last May, and in August a competition for revitalization was announced. Several companies competed for each vestibule. The winner was evaluated based on economic and architectural criteria and the intended use of the properties. New shops and services should grow in the vestibules, and the stations should, according to Vysoudilová, be connected to their surroundings. "This project will mainly bring DPP savings on station cleaning costs, maintenance, repairs, or other investments related to the restoration of the stations. DPP will thereby gain funds that will be used for the modernization of technologies in the given stations," the spokesperson stated. The vestibule of the Vysočanská station should be redesigned by Asset bloom s.r.o., whose partner, according to the commercial register, is a company based in Cyprus. The Kačerov and Českomoravská stations are to be acquired by the development company CRESCON, a.s., which has so far focused mainly on smaller luxury projects in Prague. DPP has signed memoranda of cooperation with the companies for the reconstruction of the stations. According to Vysoudilová, both parties still need to clarify what will be developed in the vestibules. DPP requires that gaming halls are not included in these areas. The spokesperson estimates that negotiations will take several more months. The company wants to continue with sales, but according to Vysoudilová, no decisions have been made regarding other vestibules. Previously, stations such as Opatov and Anděl were mentioned, and the Národní třída station is also set to be reconstructed. Above it, the investor plans to build a multifunctional Copa center, which will include shops and apartments. Czech Radio Radiožurnál reported today that Prague wants to sell valuable land above the Florenc metro. The capital could receive hundreds of millions of crowns for the lucrative plot near the center of Prague.
