Hradec Králové - The residents of Hradec Králové can visit some studies and projects of significant buildings that are to be constructed in the city starting Tuesday afternoon. The city hall organized an exhibition called City Vision 2006 - 2009, presenting a total of 12 projects that could be realized in Hradec Králové in the coming years. On the information panels, people can view projects such as the municipal swimming pool, the public transport terminal, and the roundabouts Koruna and Mileta. The total costs for the potential realization of all studies would reach several billion crowns, said the deputy mayor of Hradec Králové, Josef Malíř, to reporters today. "Projects can be divided into those that are already underway, such as the public transport terminal, and those that will be decided by the new council, such as the swimming pool, the library in the Vertex building, or the Mileta roundabout. The third group consists of long-term projects, such as the study for airport utilization or the Koruna roundabout," Malíř stated. The project panels also include poems by architect David Vávra, who is preparing a project in Hradec Králové for the reconstruction of the former Vertex factory into a new city library. The exhibition City Vision of Hradec Králové 2006 to 2009 will be open in the old town hall building at Velké náměstí until October 4. From Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00, and on Saturday from 09:00 to 17:00. The city hall's leadership also believes that people will respond to the displayed proposals. "We want people to express their opinions on the proposed projects, and after the exhibition, these studies should also be published on the city's website," said Martin Soukup, deputy mayor of Hradec Králové. Part of the presented actions is part of the current city hall's program declaration. In 2003, it set as its main tasks the construction of a new bus station and the construction of the Mileta junction on the road circuit. While the bus terminal started construction these days, the construction of the Mileta junction has not yet begun. Residents of Hradec Králové have also been demanding the start of construction of an outdoor swimming pool, which is sorely missing in the city, for several years. The coalition in the Hradec Králové town hall from the November elections in 2002 was formed by the ODS, ČSSD, KDU-ČSL, Volba pro město party, and the local Hradecký demokratický klub. The only party in opposition was the KSČM.
