Kyselka (Karlovy Vary) - In Kyselka, the repair of the dilapidated historic building Stallburg can begin. The owner of the building, the company Karlovarské minerální vody (KMV), has selected the construction company BAU - STAV in a tender, which will reconstruct the house. Stallburg is the first property for which KMV has obtained all the necessary approvals for the commencement of repairs. Eight apartments will be created within it, and its authentic appearance will also be preserved. This was reported today by KMV's media representative, Michal Donath. Six construction companies with experience in the restoration of listed buildings, which could provide positive references, participated in the tender. One of the criteria that led to the selection of BAU - STAV was also that it is a Karlovy Vary company. “Of the submitted offers, BAU - STAV was chosen as the most suitable. Thanks to relatively strict contractual conditions, the originally estimated price of 30 million crowns will not be exceeded,” stated Donath. The securing of the slope behind the Stallburg building is now being completed. The company PRAGOSTAV will finish the work at the turn of November and December, and the construction site will be handed over to BAU - STAV. The cost of securing the slope, which is state property, will be around three million crowns. Climbers are working on its security after machinery. The adjustment of the slope was necessary before the reconstruction of Stallburg. Following the commencement of repairs to the roofing of the Prague hotel in Kyselka, which was ordered by the Karlovy Vary magistrate, this is the second construction project on KMV buildings. The company owns several properties in Kyselka. Work on the Prague hotel has begun, and there will be a museum in the Löschner building. “The former office buildings, which are in good condition, will continue to be maintained in accordance with the law. There are considerations about their connection to the existing manufacturing facility,” Donath added. Most of the buildings in Kyselka are owned by the company RIS. It has placed them into the non-profit organization Lázně Kyselka. Its founders also include KMV, the owner of the castle in Chyše, Vladimír Lažanský, the city of Karlovy Vary, and the municipality of Kyselka. KMV contributed 20 million crowns to the company. According to Lažanský, the first work on securing the buildings in the devastated spa should start this year.
