The theme of the workshop will focus on the landscape structure of cities in relation to their identity, urban and historical values, and the changes in the environment triggered by the needs for adaptation to climate change. The very theme of adaptation in the urban environment is often viewed through a narrow lens within a single field (so-called solutions for vegetation, stormwater, heritage protection, etc.), lacking a comprehensive approach and professional discourse that we would like to initiate.
The aim of the workshop is to create a professional platform for research on “Identity of Places and Climate Change Adoption, Solutions and Limitations,” which is being conducted in collaboration with the Institute of Landscape Architecture FA CTU and TU Berlin (supported by the DAAD project). The organized discussion workshop aims to establish interdisciplinary cooperation among academic and scientific workers, primarily targeting staff from universities and research institutes, but we also welcome inputs from practice and the non-profit sector.
The outcome will be a final report summarizing the main topics and a coherent conclusion, which will serve as a basis for developing further collaboration.
