Brno - Spaces in the future tallest building in the Czech Republic, the Brno skyscraper AZ-Tower, are almost half sold out, with the rest reserved. Of the seventeen residential apartments, only five are still available. For a price of 16 million without VAT, the largest one, a duplex apartment measuring 330 square meters, located on the 28th and 29th floors, has been sold. CTK was informed of this today by project manager Petr Teplý.

"We have even been contacted by interested parties who were willing to outbid the original buyer of the duplex apartment by up to 30 percent," Teplý told reporters today. According to him, there has been the greatest interest in the residential apartments. Their price starts at 64,000 crowns per square meter. The apartments will be located on the 23rd to 29th floors and will all be fully furnished for immediate occupancy.
Contracts have already been signed for 48 percent of the sold spaces. According to Teplý, the sale of all remaining spaces is under negotiation. "If all negotiations are successfully concluded, then the entire building will be sold out," stated Teplý.
Currently, construction is taking place on the seventeenth floor. "The speed of construction for one floor is nine to twelve days," specified Teplý. According to him, the skeleton will be completed this September and the entire building will be ready in April next year. The subsequent occupancy permit process will take four to five months.
AZ Tower is set to reach a height of 111 meters, making it the tallest building in the Czech Republic. It will have 30 floors. A commercial arcade, including a restaurant, a fitness center covering 1,350 square meters, and a car dealership with a service center, will be developed on the first to third floors. Offices will occupy the other floors. The highest, thirtieth floor will house technical facilities. In two underground levels, 275 cars will be parked. The entire construction is expected to cost 800 million crowns.
The skyscraper is rising in the area between Pražákova and Heršpická streets. The location has excellent transport accessibility, including connection to the D1 highway, and according to Teplý, it is assessed as ideal for the construction of high-rise buildings. According to him, there are two other projects in the planning stage adjoining the AZ-Tower building. One of them is expected to be even six meters taller.
