Mariánské Lázně (Cheb Region) - Mariánské Lázně is considering building a new town hall in cooperation with the city and a private investor. The city council has already approved cooperation with the company PPP Centrum from Prague. It is expected to present a model for the construction of an administrative center with a town hall in the form of a PPP project, meaning a partnership between the public and private sectors, in June, as stated by the mayor of Mariánské Lázně, Zdeněk Král (ODS).

According to him, the financing of the construction will be linked to the sale of the current town hall building. The proceeds from the sale are expected to constitute a substantial part of the first payment for the new building's construction. "Then it will depend on how much the construction will cost and how the rest of the financing will be structured. We believe that there will be more financing models, and there are also more interested parties in building the administrative center," Král told ČTK.
He would consider it an ideal scenario if the construction of the new town hall could be paid for from the sale of the property that the city is currently offering, which includes the current town hall and other real estates. "However, we do not know the current situation in the real estate market, whether it would be possible," added Král.
Mariánské Lázně has developed a study for the new building, which would house the city office and other institutions. According to the study, the modern facility would also include a conference hall, and the building could accommodate the municipal police, library, bank, and others. However, how the final shape will look will depend on the city's and investors' possibilities.
