Organizations Open House Praha and Krenovka invite you to another joint debate from Openly about Prague series, which will focus this time on adaptation to climate change.

We are in the midst of climate change, which we have triggered by our actions over the past century. We are not yet able to foresee all its consequences, but it is certain that it will fundamentally affect us. Many of its manifestations we are already experiencing firsthand. Given that our society is urbanized, it will be crucial for us how we will be able to adapt life in cities to changing climatic conditions. What is the current plan of Prague to mitigate the impacts of climate change and what steps is it taking to improve the resilience of the city to extreme weather events, such as floods or heat waves?

These are just some of the questions that will be raised in this year's final panel discussion from the series Openly about Prague, which will take place in the spaces of Čítárny Unijazz.

Panelists:
• Ing. Jana Komrsková – Deputy Mayor of the capital city of Prague responsible for the environment and climate plan; Chair of the Committee for Infrastructure, Technical Equipment, and Environment of the Assembly of the Capital City of Prague
• Mgr. Petra Kolínska – Director (in commission) of the office of Green Circle, where she coordinates the Changing Climate in Legislation project for our municipalities and cities; from 2007 to 2014, she worked at the State Fund for the Environment
• Ing. arch. Anna Vinklárková – expert on the "Prague - City for Life" campaign in the organization Arnika; focuses on informing and engaging the public, Metropolitan Plan, the future of large brownfields, and problematic decision-making by authorities
• RNDr. Michaela Pixová, Ph.D. – teaches, among others, at the Department of Sociology at FSV UK; as an activist and journalist, she focuses on urban restructuring, social movements, feminism, environmental crisis, and socio-ecological transformation

The debate will be moderated by the lecturer of year-round events at Open House Praha Michal Šedivý.
