Jevíčko - Pardubice region has completed the reconstruction of the inpatient section of Pavilion S at the Specialized Treatment Institute in Jevíčko. The investment in repairs, including common areas and patient rooms as well as internal equipment, amounted to 75 million crowns, with 35.5 million crowns provided by the region from a European grant from the Integrated Regional Operational Program. This was stated in a press release by the spokesperson for the regional office, Dominik Barták. The Pardubice region has been investing in healthcare facilities long-term, with over 170 million crowns invested in recent years.

In the institute, historical wooden rest rooms have been gradually renovated, the former children's pavilion has been converted into a pulmonary rehabilitation pavilion, roofs have been repaired, and energy-saving measures have been implemented for the dining service building. After insulating Pavilion S, the complete modernization of the rooms and the construction of their new hygiene facilities have now been completed. "The construction itself was challenging primarily because it took place during operation in four phases on individual floors, where patients were gradually moved to newly reconstructed rooms," said Governor Martin Netolický (3PK/SOCDEM). The building of Pavilion S is a protected cultural monument, which is why great emphasis was placed on preserving the original interior elements during the reconstruction.

The regional office in Jevíčko is also preparing the reconstruction of the rehabilitation Pavilion N, which is the last one without significant investments. It has 75 beds, rehabilitation facilities, and a gym. It will therefore be necessary to acquire a new X-ray machine, as the existing one is over 20 years old.

The Specialized Treatment Institute in Jevíčko is a unique complex whose buildings, constructed between 1913 and 1926, have been a cultural monument since 2016. The Jevíčko institute provides healthcare services in the area of pneumological diseases, pneumological and movement therapy rehabilitation, and the diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis. It has 176 beds for hospitalizations and also a complex of specialized outpatient clinics and examination rooms.
