Brno - Next summer, it will be possible to reach the Brno recreational area Riviéra by public transport for the first time in three years using both circular lines 44 and 84, but people will have to walk further. Instead of a few dozen meters, they will need to walk nearly half a kilometer from the stops over the footbridge to the ticket offices. The public transport stops will be located further from the area and the existing crossing has been canceled.

The current solution is not favored by the mayor of the nearby district of Nový Lískovec, Jana Drápalová (SZ), who is a long-time Brno city councilor and currently in opposition. "In Brno, everything is done for cars; it is undoubtedly a deterioration for pedestrians. Moreover, a massive footbridge is a construction that costs a lot of money," Drápalová told ČTK. The shorter access for pedestrians was eliminated during the reconstruction of Bauerova Street. The Riviéra area previously had a four-lane street, but it is narrower than what is currently being built. The reconstructed road is expected to be operational around mid-November, but buses will not be using it. They will be redirected to a parallel service road closer to the exhibition area. The spokesman for the magistrate, Filip Poňuchálek, wrote to ČTK that public transport stops are not proposed on first-class roads.

People will not be able to access Riviéra in any other way than via the footbridge. The footbridge measures approximately 350 meters, and about 100 more meters need to be walked from the bus stop to the footbridge and from the footbridge to the ticket offices. The walk from the bus, which used to take no more than a minute, now takes about five minutes. The leader of the opposition Pirates, Marek Lahoda, wrote to ČTK that it is "unfortunately the price for the high number of cars in the city." Bauerova is indeed part of a large city ring road that is expected to head into a tunnel under the Červený kopec in the future.
