Prague - The seventh municipal district will select a new town hall from two offers. The project Argentinian Star by PPF Property Limited and the potential purchase of the Mercury Business Park building from Real 8 have progressed from the narrower selection round. After a long discussion, the council of Prague 7 made the decision on Monday evening, said the spokesman for the municipal district, Martin Vokuš, today.
"The working group is tasked with presenting a final proposal and a contract proposal by the next council meeting," said the spokesman. The councillors will meet on December 5. A decision could therefore be made by the end of the year.
Both final offers are in the range of approximately 700 to 800 million. "The price offer was crucial for the selection," said the spokesman. The potential purchase of the former Electric Company building from Orco Property Group did not make it to the final round of selection.
The municipal district has been searching for new premises for the town hall for 17 years. The office is expected to move into its own building after 2015.
