Pardubice - The reconstruction of the swimming complex in Pardubice, the most expensive project in the post-November history of the city, will be captured in a short film. A time-lapse documentary has been commissioned by the city hall from the East Bohemian studio of the private television RTA; after the studio's closure, its former employees are completing it, said Mayor Štěpánka Fraňková (Association for Pardubice). The film will be used, for example, during the opening of the swimming complex, and it will also be available to view on the city's website.

"RTA will use footage from a camera located on the opposite building, as well as reports that were filmed there continuously," said Nataša Hradní from the press department of the magistrate. The documentary will mainly consist of a record of the progress of work, complemented by comments from other involved people, architects, and builders. The total duration will not exceed 20 minutes.
The swimming complex has been undergoing expensive reconstruction since 2010. The original building that housed the fifty-meter pool has been preserved, and a wellness facility has been added in place of the former heat exchange station. On the other side, a glass aquapark has been built to replace the former diving pool. The repairs are expected to cost around half a billion crowns, and the city has not managed to secure funding for them. The swimming complex will also include a summer beach, which should open in June, while the covered part may be accessible to the public sooner.
