The construction of the church and pastoral center in Neratovice will cost nearly 244 million CZK

Neratovice – The construction of the church and pastoral center in Neratovice in the Mělník region will cost nearly 244 million crowns, and it is expected to be completed in 2027. Four years ago, the Neratovice priest Peter Kováč estimated that the costs of building the church would be around 80 million CZK.

The construction by architect Zdeněk Fránek for nearly 244 million CZK includes sustainable elements and a tower 22 meters high. Completion is planned for 2027. The construction of the church and pastoral center will be partly funded by the Archdiocese of Prague, with contributions from the Neratovice parish and donors. So far, the foundation for the establishment of the church and community center has more than 171 million crowns available, according to the parish website.

Neratovice became a town in 1957, and a church was lacking here. Over time, several municipalities, including Lobkovice, where the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary is located, became part of the town.
