In Neratovice, the construction of a church continues, whose tower will be created using 3D printing technology

Neratovice - Construction of the Church of the Most Holy Trinity continues in Neratovice in the Mělník region, with its tower being built using three-dimensional printing technology. The outer walls of the community hall, retaining walls, and the foundations of the rectory are already completed. The complex will serve as a place for worship, education, and community gatherings, the Neratovice parish stated today in a press release. Project spokesperson Katarína Klíčová told ČTK this February that the church is slated to be completed in the autumn of 2028.

"When one sees how the construction site transforms week by week, it adds strength and hope. What had long existed only on paper is becoming a real work,” said Neratovice priest Petr Kováč.

Beneath the main liturgical space, a community hall for up to 200 people is being created, designed to serve cultural, social, and private events. It will include a mobile stage for cultural programs, audiovisual technology, kitchen facilities, changing rooms, and toilets. The hall will have a separate entrance, allowing the space to be used independently of the church's operations.

The author of the church's design is architect Zdeněk Fránek. The church tower, constructed using 3D printing technology, will feature, among other things, a climbing wall that will expand opportunities for active leisure time.

The cost of the rough construction of the church is expected to exceed 200 million crowns. The expenses are partly covered by the Foundation of the Neratovice Community Center, with the rest being donations from the public as part of an ongoing collection.

Neratovice became a town in 1957, and there was no church here. Local believers had and still have access only to the chapel of St. Vojtěch. Over time, several municipalities became part of the town, including Lobkovice, where the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary is located. According to MEP and patron of the new church's construction Tomáš Zdechovský (KDU-ČSL), people lack a space that naturally connects, makes sense of traditions, and fosters interpersonal ties.
