Tišnov - The Tišnov Town Hall wants to involve residents in thinking about the future shape of the town. In a survey on the internet and in survey forms, it will find out, for example, how people envision the future layout of the central Míru Square. The town has four proposals for its redesign from architects. They received them for free thanks to participation in the Peter Parléř Award competition. Now they want to know the residents' views, said Deputy Mayor Jan Schneider to ČTK.
According to the Deputy Mayor, people's opinions on how the central square should look vary. Some residents of Tišnov wish for a quiet zone closed to automobile traffic. Others, on the other hand, appeal for more parking spaces to be created. The town hall wants to have an idea of how large each group is.
The questionnaire will also include questions about three other planned projects: the construction of a funeral hall, the renovation of the swimming pool, and the revitalization of the park under the church in the town center. The town hall has studies for all the projects and would like to have plans developed. "We are waiting to give the designers a clear opinion of the town so they can move forward," Schneider said.
According to the Deputy Mayor, the town hall wants to test the level of public interest in the current four projects through the surveys. If the response is good, other projects will also be consulted in Tišnov. The town previously sought people's opinions, for example, before creating a community plan. However, according to the Deputy Mayor, it was a narrow group of people who were actively approached: opinions were collected through nursing homes.
