Prague - In Prague 6, the demolition of parts of two rare villas has begun. This time it concerns the demolition of parts of functionalist houses in Baba, known as Čeňkova and Košťálova villa. ČTK learned this from letters from the deputy mayor Petr Dolínek (Social Democracy) to the Prague 6 city hall and the municipal department of heritage care. ČTK has the letters available. In the past, two villas fell in old Střešovice or in Ořechovka.

The houses are located on Na Ostrohu Street. Two underground parking spaces are to be created there. According to a letter sent to the Prague 6 city hall by residents of the surrounding houses, an additional concrete area for parking cars will also be created in front of the garage, worsening the living environment.
In the past, several villas have been demolished in Prague 6, with the latest demolition involving a villa on náměstí Před Bateriemi near the evangelical church in Střešovice. From the historically valuable location of Ořechovka, two villas disappeared without permission. One of them belonged to the well-known fashion designer Blanka Matragi. For both demolitions, authorities imposed penalties. However, the magistrate eventually canceled the fine for Matragi.
