A five-day workshop (June 25-30, 2015) focused on Pustevny took place in Prostřední Bečva. It was attended by students from Prague's ČVUT and Brno's VUT under the guidance of architects Karel Janča, Kamil Mrva, and Svatopluk Sládeček. Their task was to develop the urbanism of the Beskid Pustevny so that it would gain a form suitable for the third millennium. One of the most beautiful mountain resorts in the country, associated with the buildings of Dušan Jurkovič (national cultural monuments), has been suffering from a lack of concept and randomness for a long time. Attention from the general public turned to Pustevny after the fire at the Libušín restaurant, a national cultural monument, in 2014. The participants of the workshop worked in two three-member groups. One focused on the revitalization of the parking lot and the cultivation of the entrance to Pustevny from the direction of Prostřední Bečva. The second group dealt with the center of Pustevny, which is not yet precisely defined, and new layouts for sales stands. The common theme became the landscaping and considerations for original street furniture. Furthermore, principles for contemporary construction at Pustevny were established. The results of the creative workshop were first presented at an exhibition at Koliba Valaška in the presence of Jiří Novotný, the mayor of Trojanovice, and Radim Gálik, the mayor of Prostřední Bečva. They can now be seen daily until August 31, 2015, from 8 AM to 6 PM at the lower station of the chairlift leading from Trojanovice's Ráztoka to Pustevny and on the pages of the academy of architecture >

The workshop was organized by the Academy of Architecture association in cooperation with the Faculty of Art and Architecture of the Technical University of Liberec.
