Architect Josef Čančík and his collaborator Vít Šimek will present their solutions for the past three editions of the documentary film festival in Jihlava. The exterior of the city and the interiors of the festival’s facilities take on a different face every year – built and demolished in a short time for minimal money. But with maximum demands.

The civic association Kruh has been organizing public events and lectures focused on current happenings in architecture since 2001. The aim of the lectures and discussions is to foster a dialogue about quality Czech and world architecture and architectural creation with broader segments of the public – i.e., beyond a narrow circle of professionals and architecture students. Kruh has already organized more than a hundred lectures by prominent and emerging Czech and foreign architects and architectural theorists, two film festivals on architecture, and an exhibition titled Profession: Architect. It regularly publishes anthologies of texts on architecture. The civic association Kruh is also the initiator of Architecture Day, which took place for the first time in October 2011 and had a surprising attendance – approximately 3000 people.
