The civic association Kruh invites you to a lecture on contemporary architecture

On Thursday, October 20, 2011, the Kruh association has prepared a lecture evening on the topic of the latest architectural competitions for the redevelopment of Zlín's center. During the evening, the winning teams of architects Jitka Ressová (Gahurův prospekt), Pavla Mudřík (Komenský Park), and Pavla Chládek (underpass at Náměstí Práce) will present their work. The jury's perspective will be provided by Pavel Hnilička, Antonín Novák, and Pavel Jungmann. The lecture is part of the festival 4+4 days in motion.

The authors of the designs will introduce the three mentioned locations that are directly adjacent to each other and will explain how the designs will transform the vital public space in the center of Zlín. The competitions were expected to bring new and possibly unexpected solutions for this important urban area adjacent to the recently completed University and Congress Center, designed by architect Eva Jiřičná.

The winning projects for Gahurův prospekt, Komenský Park, and Náměstí Práce, along with their interrelations and solutions, will be evaluated not only by the authors but also by selected jury members and a representative of the city.
