Liesbeth van der Pol (*1959) is a Dutch architect who, together with Herman Zeinstra, runs the studio Dok Architecten. Liesbeth van der Pol argues that architecture should speak for itself. It should be like a distinctive personality – vital, evoking passion, fascinating, leaving certain impressions on us. Such architecture creates an environment that supports communication, satisfaction, and motivates users to achieve better results. A well-organized environment and an open atmosphere are essential for the architect even in her own studio, Dok Architecten, which she established with her professional partner Herman Zeinstra. It consists of a team of experts, each playing an important role. Liesbeth van der Pol also creates colored drawings of buildings, which define their character and expression. These drawings simultaneously serve as a signature for each project.

Liesbeth van der Pol (*1959) studied architecture at the Delft University of Technology. In 1995, she co-founded the studio Dok Architecten with Herman Zeinstra. Notable projects include the WKK power plant in Utrecht and the Maritime Museum in Amsterdam. From 2008 to 2011, she served as the state architect at the Ministry of Housing and Spatial Planning. In the Netherlands, this position is taken very seriously, with the expectation that the architect will not only consult on architectural and social housing policy but also independently support quality architecture.
