What is it like to build high-rise buildings out of wood? In Austria, the construction of the tallest wooden skyscraper in the world is currently underway. The HoHo Wien project will be presented by architect OLIVER STERL from the Vienna architectural office RLP, one of the authors of the complex, at another lecture in the Urban Talks series.
With introductory presentations on the topic of multi-storey and public wooden constructions, architects Pavel Horák, director of the Wood Building Salon in the Czech Republic, and Ľubica Fábri, director of the Wood Building Salon in Slovakia, will take the stage. In the discussion part of the event, other interesting guests, leading experts in the field of wooden construction in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, will join the speakers.
Admission to the event is free, but registration on GoOut is required. Registration will open on January 15, 2019. Admission without registration will only be possible on-site if the capacity of the auditorium is not filled by registered participants.
The lecture will be in German and translated into Czech.
