The new generation of VELUX roof windows meets the demands of a wide range of customers. They can now choose from Standard, Standard Plus, and Premium products, depending on their requirements for a roof window.

The new generation offers roof windows that are modern, elegant, and suitable for every attic room. Thanks to the new design, the glazing area of the roof window is up to 10% larger, allowing even more daylight into the attic. During the heating season, a larger glazed area provides more warmth due to passive solar gains. Along with the new insulation system VELUX ThermoTechnologyTM, the windows contribute to lower energy consumption. The improved design of the control elements of the New Generation will enhance the everyday use of roof windows for the maximum comfort of all users.

Better windows than ever before at comparable prices
“VELUX has been bringing sophisticated solutions for living in the attic for more than 70 years. We constantly improve our products to meet the needs of all customers. We do not settle for partial changes and minor innovations; that’s why we are introducing an entire New Generation of roof windows,” says Jaroslava Gregorová from VELUX Czech Republic, s.r.o. “It’s not that hard to make a good and expensive window. However, offering a customer a quality roof window at a reasonable price is a challenge! We faced it head-on, and that’s why today we are introducing a new wide range of VELUX products, so that everyone can really choose,” adds Gregorová.

VELUX introduces innovations in a comprehensive offering of three product lines: Standard, Standard Plus, and Premium. With its range, it aims to meet the demands of all customers, considering the different possibilities of their budgets. The New Generation brings high-quality windows at a comparable price to the previous generation.

The new zinc handle on the bottom of the window allows for easy and comfortable opening and closing of the higher-installed window.	VELUX ThermoTechnologyTM insulation uses high-quality insulating material with added graphite in the construction of the roof window, which protects the interior from the cold and retains heat inside the house.
The highly efficient VELUX ThermoTechnologyTM insulation system in maintenance-free windows features a wooden core made from thermal modified timber, which perfectly prevents heat loss.	Wooden roof windows VELUX with bottom control in the Standard and Standard Plus series have a two-step ventilation system – allowing your house to breathe even when the window is closed.

Standard Line – excellent quality at a reasonable price
The roof windows in the Standard series offer excellent quality at a very good price. These roof windows are affordable for everyone. The offer includes both top and bottom control roof windows, both types in new design.

In the case of top control, the control handle incorporates a built-in ventilation system, which allows for ventilation even when the window is closed. The advantage of roof windows with top control is the ability to place furniture under the roof window without limiting the opening and closing, as well as a very good view outside, whether you are standing or sitting.

If the customer needs or wants to place the roof window higher (e.g., due to a higher wall height), they can also choose a roof window with bottom control – a zinc bottom handle. Thanks to the two-step ventilation system, which is located in the upper part of the window frame, ventilation is possible even when the window is closed. Both types of windows are equipped with a built-in filter against dust and insects for these cases, ensuring a healthier environment inside the room.

More benefits with the Standard Plus line
Roof windows in the Standard Plus range offer, in addition to top or bottom opening like in the previous range, many other advantages. The VELUX ThermoTechnology™ insulation system creates an effective shield against wind and cold, along with special sealing. The wooden roof window contains expanded polystyrene (EPS) in its construction, which excellently insulates due to its lightweight structure. Together with the new sealing between the window and the frame, the air tightness of the window improves - the heat transfer coefficient Uw has been reduced from a value of 1.4 to 1.3 for standard double glazing compared to the previous generation.

Roof windows in the Standard Plus series are equipped with safe laminated glass, which ensures that in the event of strong impact and breakage, the glass will not fall out of the frame or break into pieces. This type of glazing, therefore, provides not only higher safety but also better sound insulation.

Roof windows with top control are also available in this series in a white maintenance-free version. This combines a waterproof polyurethane layer and a core made from thermal modified timber TMT (Thermal modified timber). This wood is heated to 175 °C during production, allowing moisture in the wood to be replaced by air, which is a much more effective insulating material. In addition to reducing heat loss, this modified wood is much less susceptible to fungal diseases. Therefore, these windows are very suitable for rooms with higher humidity, such as kitchens or bathrooms.

The glazing area of the new generation of VELUX roof windows is up to 10% larger. This allows more light into the interior while maintaining the same window dimensions.

Premium line for demanding customers
The premium line of roof windows offers the highest possible quality for discerning customers and includes several additional improvements compared to the Standard Plus series – for example, an external self-cleaning layer or a layer to prevent condensation on the outer glass, or panoramic views and dual control options, depending on the needs of the customer and their preference. Roof windows in this series are offered in a white maintenance-free version.

For customers requiring maximum comfort, VELUX also offers VELUX INTEGRA® roof windows with remote control. This includes a brand new smart touch controller that allows you to control both the window and its accessories – VELUX blinds and shutters – from anywhere in the house. A rain sensor ensures automatic closing of the window in case of rain. There is an option for electric or solar drive.
