Innovative VELUX ACTIVE is winning awards. It succeeded at trade fairs in Prague and Brno

Immediately three significant awards were won by VELUX in competition with dozens of other products with its VELUX ACTIVE system. In March, VELUX completed a winning hat-trick by winning the Gold Medal SVB 2019 at the Brno Construction Fair. The company also took home an award from the Roofs Prague and For Arch fairs. "We greatly appreciate the trio of awards for the VELUX ACTIVE system, which ensures users an automated and healthier home. We are pleased that the possibility of retrofitting the system to windows installed over 15 years ago did not go unnoticed by the juries," said VELUX communication coordinator Zdeněk Okáč.

A total of fourteen products competed for the Gold Medal of the Brno Construction Fair. The expert committee recognized the VELUX ACTIVE indoor environment control unit. It is an innovative technology that cares for the household and the health of the residents. The system can automatically open and close windows, lower blinds, and shades through smart sensors that measure temperature, humidity, and carbon dioxide levels in the building, creating a healthier environment. Users can also easily control everything via smartphone and voice thanks to compatibility with Apple Home Kit. "VELUX is bringing this device to the market at a time when the Czech Republic is preparing to implement a new European directive on the energy performance of buildings. This directive emphasizes not only energy efficiency but also visual and thermal comfort and the use of natural resources. The company rightfully took home the prestigious Gold Medal SVB 2019 for the VELUX ACTIVE unit, as it contributes to the implementation of good practices in improving the environment where we spend most of our lives," stated prof. Ing. Jiří Hirš, Csc., who was one of the jury members.

VELUX ACTIVE was also praised this February by the members of the expert jury at the Roofs Prague fair. The system received an honorary mention in the Golden Roof tile competition, which highlights products whose parameters are comparable to global standards and determine developmental trends in their field.

VELUX also took home an award from the For Arch fair, which took place last September. The GRAND PRIX award is given to exhibits that, according to the jury, are technologically innovative, exceptionally high-quality, economical, affordable, and consider environmental protection in their production or use. VELUX ACTIVE stood out before the expert jury in competition with nearly fifty registered products.
