Brno – Headaches, worse concentration, or even depression. All of this can be caused by a lack of daylight in the house. Those at risk are primarily residents of modern bungalows. Especially in the center of the house, windows are often absent, and the spaces are not sufficiently illuminated. This can be avoided by installing skylights. The company VELUX will showcase their installation into truss roofs at the Brno Construction Fair, which will take place from Wednesday, February 27 to Saturday, March 2, 2019, at the Brno Exhibition Center. People can find VELUX in Pavilion P at booth number 144.

VELUX will present innovations for 2019 at the Brno Construction Fair. The company will offer solutions for illuminating bungalows with truss roofs and a new electrically operated pivot window.

The fair will also feature a supporting program. VELUX has prepared a complementary program for the fair visitors. In Hall Z, for example, they will see the installation of a skylight into a truss roof live. "A skylight can be not only functional but also a design element that fits into bungalows. It can brighten the house and give it a modern look," said the chief architect of VELUX, Klára Bukolská.

There are several reasons to install a skylight in a bungalow. Besides functioning as an interesting design element, it is essential to mention the possibility of ventilation even in rooms where traditional windows are missing and ventilation would not be possible. "Last but not least, bungalow owners with skylights will also save money. Energy consumption for lighting can be reduced by up to thirty percent," added Klára Bukolská.

Moreover, the windows can be supplemented with the innovative VELUX ACTIVE technology, which automatically cares for the health of the house's inhabitants. Opening and closing windows, lowering blinds, and shutters are managed by the system itself through smart sensors. The advantage of the system is its ability to time everything correctly and thus create a healthier environment. Users can easily control everything remotely via smartphone. At the VELUX booth, people will have the opportunity to try out the technology. Experts will also advise how to easily electrify already installed skylights.
