Street or public lighting is often seen as merely a necessity, a functional element. The times of perfectly ornamental street lanterns, which served both aesthetic and lighting functions, are indeed behind us; however, modern LED fixtures can meet not only high demands for puristic design and dynamic shape but, above all, for economical and efficient operation.

Many cities, municipalities, or city districts are growing, developing, and modernizing in line with the general trend. This also relates to the necessity of replacing the existing – energy-intensive, service-demanding, and costly public lighting with sodium discharge lamps. A modern, economical, and above all, operationally much more efficient alternative is LED lighting with high luminous efficacy, low energy consumption, and highly uniform light. Additionally, the replacement of LED lighting on existing public lighting poles is very easy to install and takes place on a 1:1 basis, without the use of tools, thanks to the housing and plug-in terminal block. Thus, it saves municipalities and cities additional costs.
As replacements for regular sodium discharge lamps, LEDVANCE STREETLIGHT AREA fixtures reliably serve, which are offered in several variants depending on power and light color. The most economical version is the one with a power of 35 W. Given the development in the field of public lighting, where there is an effort to bring the light color closer to that of the original sodium discharge lamps, it is recommended to use fixtures with a color temperature of 3000 K, which is warm white light. LED fixtures are mounted on existing public lighting poles by replacing old discharge fixtures on a one-for-one basis. They have a high luminous efficacy of 135 lm/W, a long lifespan (up to 70,000 hours), and a 5-year warranty. A significant benefit is also the possibility of precise angle adjustment of the fixture thanks to the integrated joint.
