Praha 7 obtained a building permit for a residential building on Za Papírnou Street

Prague – Prague 7 has received a building permit for an apartment building with 62 apartments. It will be located on Za Papírnou Street, near the Nádraží Holešovice metro station. The rental apartments will be designated for people with disabilities, seniors, single mothers, families at risk of losing their homes, or preferred professions such as firefighters, police officers, healthcare workers, and teachers. The town hall expects the construction costs to be around 250 million crowns, having received a subsidy of 170 million crowns from the Prague Housing Development Fund. This was reported by the mayor of Prague 7, Jan Čižinský.

The office is now preparing to announce a public tender for the construction contractor, so the exact costs are not yet known. If there are no delays, construction could begin in the fall and will take approximately two years.

Most of the apartments will be designed as 1+kk. "However, the number of apartments in the building is designed with a high degree of variability. There will be barrier-free apartments intended for seniors or people with health limitations, but also apartments for families and single parents, as well as service apartments for key professions such as teachers, healthcare workers, police officers, or firefighters," said Čižinský. "The apartments are therefore designed in a modular solution, allowing for easy connection into larger units for the needs of larger families," added the mayor of Prague 7.

The city district currently manages 675 apartments. These are primarily categorized within the supported housing system, where the office has recorded 57 applications for apartment allocation.

Prague 7 consists of Holešovice, Bubny, and parts of Bubenec and Liben. Approximately 48,000 residents live there. The Prague 7 office also serves as a municipal authority for the Troja district.
