What was the summer Ještěd f Kleci like? Who took home the trophy?
We are halfway out of the COVID era. But not quite, the competition took place online again.
Students uploaded their semester projects to a disk, which the jury subsequently reviewed.
Thanks to the remote competition, two members who could not have attended in person during regular proceedings were invited to the jury - urban planner Bára Šafářová, who works at a university in Washington, and architect Jan Vranovský, who works in Tokyo. In addition to them, artist Zdeněk Svejkovský and graphic designer Petr Babák took care of evaluating the works.

The program of Ještěd f Kleci began on Tuesday, June 22, with an interview from the Sešlosti series, this time with fua graduate Jitka Pucandlová, an architect working in London and the initiator of preserving the tradition of Ještěd f Kleci at the Faculty of Art and Architecture of the Technical University in Liberec.
On Wednesday, June 23, a concert by Tygroo band took place in Frýdlandská park. It was evident that the students really enjoyed an event of this nature after a long time.

The festive announcement took place on Friday, June 25, in the former RAF building in Liberec. This event symbolically brought the object, which was recently acquired by the city of Liberec, back to life. The competition announcement was projected on a screen, and the musical program was provided by DJs Olga Zhaldak and Kletis.
The jury awarded the project Tomáš Volejník focusing on community courtyards created during Erasmus in Ghent, Belgium. The nominees for architecture were: Max Mohl for the reconstruction of the cultural center in Kostelec nad Orlicí and Daniela Kvapilová for a contemporary art gallery for Brtnice. In the art category, the nominations were received by: Vítězslav Plavec for his bachelor thesis “Euclid's Garden,” Anna Böhmová for the project “Waves”, and Jan Nyč for the installation “Transformation Adaptation”.
The entire announcement is available in video form on the Facebook pages of Ještěd f Kleci, and you can view the individual projects on the website.
Congratulations to the winner and the nominees!
Thank you to everyone who attended!
