The City Architecture Association announces a call for applications for the J. M. Olbrich Award 2025 for an architectural achievement realized in the years 2023 and 2024. They are looking for the best buildings in the Opava region (the area of the former Opava district – ORP Opava, Kravaře, Hlučín, Vítkov) that were completed between 2023 and 2024. The purpose of the J. M. Olbrich Award is to promote quality architecture, inform and engage the public, initiate discussion and interest in architecture and the environment that surrounds us. The award has been regularly announced since 2007 for quality architecture, reconstruction, or urban planning solutions in the Opava region. Anyone can submit their nomination proposals until July 7, 2025, via email at [email protected] or by filling out the google forms. A professional jury will subsequently decide on the submitted proposals, and an exhibition of the proposed realizations will be organized as part of the Architecture Day in Opava, during which the respective creators will receive awards for the winning building at the opening on October 3, 2025, in the Arcades at Dvořákovy Sady.
