Every year during this time, nominations are decided for one of the most prestigious Slovak architectural awards - the ARCH Award, an accolade given for the best architectural achievement in Slovakia for the past period. The international editorial board of the ARCH magazine has selected the nominees for the 19th time and has chosen truly diverse entries. The buildings assessed were published and reviewed in the ARCH magazine from 7-8/2015 to 6/2016. According to the statutes, the editorial board nominated 10 works in a three-round selection.

About the ARCH Award The ARCH Award is a prize from the ARCH magazine concerning architecture and other cultures. The editorial board of the magazine established it in 1998 with the intention of highlighting remarkable works from the domestic architectural scene. The award is given annually for an architectural work that the international jury (which alternates renowned architecture critics from Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Hungary, and Slovakia) recognizes as the most distinctive architectural act reflected in the past period on the pages of the ARCH magazine.
