Litomyšl - Residential buildings on Zdeněk Kopal Street in Litomyšl are to be constructed according to the design by architect Aleš Burian. The city council selected it in a competition for the sale of land and construction of the area near the hospital, where four development companies applied with seven projects. The design will still need to be approved by the city council.

"The project best meets the requirements for modern housing. We considered public spaces, the number and composition of apartments, the investor also offers community spaces, parking in garages, and quality shared spaces," said Mayor Daniel Brýdl (Generation 89) to reporters today.

For the competition, the city set fixed conditions; the price for the land was not included. Investors had to adhere to the building heights. The buildings must have green roofs and parking spaces underground. The city is also considering restoring the original fruit orchard in the area and building flood retention basins.

The winning proposal consists of three buildings with large balconies and green roofs connected by a public space, which will also include commercial establishments, such as a café or a hairdresser. There should be around 70 apartments in total.

The city is asking for 3.36 million crowns for the land. At the same time, the developer must ensure the construction of necessary engineering networks, roads, and parking areas while building the residential buildings, carry out terrain modifications, and plant greenery.
