Prague - The district of Prague - Slivenec wants to reconstruct its center. The project is expected to cost around 30 million crowns in total, and the city council decided today to contribute one million crowns to the district. The decision still needs to be confirmed by the council. According to the mayor of Slivenec, Jana Plamínková, the municipality will use the grant to prepare the implementation documentation and will apply for additional funds from European funds.

"The center is currently neglected; it needs revitalization,” Plamínková told ČTK. The district will now apply for another contribution under the Operational Program Prague - Competitiveness. If successful, according to Plamínková, they want to revitalize the space in front of the local pizzeria and in front of the church. "Some people confuse it with a parking lot. We want to prevent that,” the mayor stated.
The municipality also plans to change the shape of the adjacent intersection, build new sidewalks, add new greenery, and equip the park with new benches and other furniture.
