The development of the zoning plan for H. Králové will continue to be the responsibility of Deputy Záruba

Hradec Králové - The preparation of the zoning plan for Hradec Králové will continue to be the responsibility of the designated councilor, Deputy Mayor Adam Záruba (Change for Hradec). This was decided by the councilors on Tuesday. Záruba was also responsible for the zoning plan in the previous election period, starting in January 2021, said the spokesperson of the municipality, Kateřina Rohlíčková, today. Before Záruba, the designated councilor for the preparation of the zoning plan was Jiří Langer (for ANO).

The city of Hradec Králové, with a population of 100,000, could have a new zoning plan within two years. The municipality has been working on the zoning plan since 2010. According to the city leadership, the issuance of the document has significantly approached in recent months. If everything goes smoothly, the city could have a new zoning plan within two years. So far, the city has been following the zoning plan from 2000, which was conceived for a period of ten years.

Záruba will collaborate on the preparation of the zoning plan with the department of the city's chief architect. As deputy mayor, Záruba is responsible for urban planning, urbanism and architecture, heritage protection, and the environment. The work on the zoning plan is currently in the phase before repeated public discussion. "This should happen during this summer," Záruba stated.

The zoning plan is being drafted by the department of the city's chief architect. The creators of the zoning plan are the architectural association Tomáš Vymetálek Architects and architect Patrik Kotas, based on a competition. According to the municipality, the new zoning plan should create conditions for the development of transport and technical infrastructure, civic amenities, and take nature and landscape protection into account.
