Kutná Hora - In Kutná Hora, the construction of the Klimeška sports hall is nearing completion. If no complications arise, everything should be finished by the end of May. The total cost of the completion is over 40 million crowns, half of which will be covered by a grant from the Ministry of Education. Thanks to the completion, spaces for athletes' training will be created, said mayor Josef Viktora (ANO) to ČTK.

"The construction of the sports hall is proceeding according to schedule and there is a realistic expectation that the deadline by the end of May will be met," he stated.

The hall began construction in 2016 and has been serving athletes since the year before last. The first phase of the work, which included the construction of the main building, cost 60.5 million crowns, and the municipality received a grant from the Ministry of Education and from the region for it. For the second phase, which involved building facilities for athletes, the city did not receive a grant. Approximately 78 million crowns had to be paid from an investment loan. Work on the current final phase, which involves creating training spaces, began last summer.

The multifunctional hall is intended for basketball, handball, volleyball, futsal, and floorball players. It can also host social and cultural events, such as lectures, fairs, or exhibitions.
